Top News and Magazines Apps in Ghana for Q4 2022

In the fourth quarter of 2022, the top News and Magazines apps in Ghana demonstrated varied performance across downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at how these apps fared, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Twitter Lite, published by X Corp., saw its weekly downloads fluctuate between 19.9K and 23.2K. The app experienced a significant increase in weekly revenue, peaking at $40 in the week of November 7. Weekly active users showed a slight decline from 1.19M to 1.17M by the end of December.

CGTN – China Global TV Network, from CGTN, saw a notable spike in downloads in mid-October, reaching 4.1K, but dropped to just 13 by the end of December. Active users peaked at 2.6K in late October but fell to around 1K by the end of the quarter.

Opera News: breaking & local, published by Opera, maintained a steady download rate, fluctuating between 1.8K and 3K. Active users showed a downward trend from 491.9K to 429.5K over the quarter.

Quora: the knowledge platform, from Quora, Inc., experienced a decline in weekly downloads, dropping from 2.1K at the start of the quarter to 983 by the end. Active users also saw a drop from 55.1K to 48.8K throughout the quarter.

Google News - Daily Headlines, by Google LLC, had its weekly downloads ranging from 396 to 1.3K. Active users saw a steady increase, peaking at 4.4K by the end of December.
